Ready to benefit from all that the CDFI Fund has to offer? If you are working in a distressed community (low-income census tracts) and want to become a CDFI, let CDAA help you.   There is more to becoming a certified CDFI entity than just submitting an application. The process is time-consuming and meticulous. How you identify where you will be working and the benefits / services you will deliver to residents is critical. We are experts on CDFI certification. We know from experience what works and what doesn't.   There are some very specific requirements your organization must meet in order to receive CDFI certification: ● Be a legal entity at the time of application; ● Have a primary mission of promoting community development; ● Be a financing entity; ● Primarily serve one or more target markets; ● Provide development services in conjunction with financing activities; ● Maintain accountability to your target market(s); and ● Be a non-governmental entity and not be under control of any government entity (Tribal governments excluded.)   If you meet these qualifications, contact us and we’ll help you submit the best application possible. If you don’t meet these qualifications, but want to figure out how you can, we can help with that too.   Once a CDFI, you become eligible to participate in CDFI programs such as Financial Assistance (FA) or Technical Assistance (TA).  These programs provide cash grants that you can use to support your community development work.   Don’t delay.
